Prime Minister’s silence amidst CHOGM noise

Humble figured man, with lost speech and loose stand sits in the room where his silence stirs him. Manmohan School of silent communications sits still when his silence like his conscience is stirred and willing to come out. His silence was no longer golden.

His tongue is so controlled rather remote controlled that if he is programmed for speaking a sentence with one noun ,two adjectives and one conjunction, he won’t go beyond that verbs are not part of his speech since verb is ‘doing action’.
This time when he boycotts the Commonwealth heads of government meeting (CHOGM), under inevitable political pressure, his silence transformed into words.
This is what his silence and he discussed in the dark room, where the darkness is accompanied by moon light slanting on his study from the window, signifying still there’s hope.
Silence: Dr saab, Mr. Cameron stole the commonwealth show .he was able to take firm stand on the CHOGM summit, he proved far more nous than you.
Manmohan Singh: so what? We stole common man’s wealth. Now just silence please.
Silence: I want to speak. Enough is enough...
Manmohan Singh: moderation is a fatal thing, nothing succeeds like excess.
Silence: See Mr. Cameron vested Jaffna to talk to the people about the intensity of human rights violations .kudos. Being prime minister of the India it should have been your gesture.
Manmohan Singh: don’t you know Indian principal
If someone is doing
Why should I?
If no one is doing
How could I?
Let him….
Silence: your civilians, Tamilians suffered. Your presence was must .instead of boycott; you should have caught the boy responsible for war crimes.
Manmohan Singh: I wanted but we had collision with present and prospective coalition.
Silence: for coalition you corroded your statesmanship as always.
Manmohan Singh: Acha I have read Mr. Cameron gave ultimatum that Sri Lanka should form inquiry committee by March.
Silence: in response to which President Mahindra Rajapaksa asked that one can request but should not dictate.
Manmohan Singh: hahaha unlike me he is not good at taking dictations.
Manmohan Singh: see Cameron effect might fade. Had I visited even my presence would have faded.
Silence: how could you fade? Only bright things fade out. One can’t fade into fading.
Manmohan Singh: this is all about diplomacy. All wells that ends well.
Silence: don’t think there’s no criticism for your absence. Mr. Mahindra Rajapaksa might have not minded your absence but Sri Lanka’s Economic Development Minister Mr. Basil Rajapaksa said your absence was disappointing.
Man Mohan Singh: oh!! somebody tell that Basil
I am not basil of his courtyard (mai naa tulsi uske aangan ki)
I am not custodian of Indian files. How could I be of CHOGM files..
Silence: whatever you may say. This approach is catastrophic. This was a chance where you could have reprimanded Sri Lanka for inhuman acts.
Manmohan Singh: the only way to reprimand the neighbors is not to play cricket with them and cancel their IPL tickets.
Silence: we already have spoiled bilateral relations with neighbors-Pakistan, China and Bangladesh. Can we afford another??
Manmohan Singh: this time we cannot afford anything..Not even vegetables.
Silence: how great it would have been, if you acted like Prime Minister and participated in commonwealth summit.
Manmohan Singh: Silences please, have I ever acted Prime Minister that I would have acted this time  I am incapable of participating in commonwealth games
Silence: don’t silence me .in march, 2014 you would again have to face Lanka test at UN Human Rights
Council.
Manmohan Singh: huddi baba.I have just one thing to face..Our faceoff battle in elections of 2014.
After this conversation both were tired and slept.
His silence and his echoes faded…
It seems we are country
Where everything has degraded..

Death of reason and logic:Age of Post-Truth

"We, as a free people", wrote late Serbain American playwright Steve Teisch "have freely decided that we want to live in some post-truth world" in an essay in the Nation magazine in 1992. The essay was in the context of the Iran -Contra scandal and the Persian Gulf War. The author would not have even the faintest idea that almost twenty-five years later Oxford dictionary, on November 12, 2016 will make ‘post-truth' the word of the year. 'Post' here doesn't mean ‘after' but suggests to the time when truth becomes insignificant and irrelevant. Thanks to Brexit and the results of US Presidential elections –this failed media prophets and others in the field of psephology. However, had Oxford University paid heed to the India around and from 2014, the word Post-truth would have found its place a few years ago only! In 2014, Media machinery projected a man who hitherto was nowhere in the picture, as the "leader", the country needed on it...

Why history lessons were boring in schools?

We were not taught (told) history as it was. History lessons dealt with dates and events only, history was always about kings, wars, victories and so called larger than life things. We were just told who ruled us,for how long.We never came to know about common man's life, may be it was not worth writing or documenting(it is still not worth it,only politicians make news). History books never had chapters of North East India and its contrib ution to Indian freedom struggle.Conflict regions' making and history was never made available rather they were just called resource abundant regions. Rise of right wing (radicalisation)doesn't find mention either. History books have been agents of lies and deception. History writing is often used as tool by state to deceive it's citizens,so that the truth and facts never come out. Whether it's America,India or Pakistan, their school history lessons are self congratulatory. Currently state is busy in bringing 'In...

Nightingale got no prize at the poultry show

Einstien,Twain,Edison were born out of class, before the text proceeds , I would like to say here 'class' doesn’t mean the structure with four walls, one door, two windows, one teacher, books and the pack of chained students. Here class is the niche of brilliance, freedom, discovery, imagination and invention. I wish to have education system that forges humans with brain and not machines with grades. As a student .I always wondered, how one can go about saying two plus two equals to four? Without anyone questioning why? Just because our course book said so. Why in history "dates and events” were asked? When no one taught us the resemblance to the days which we live in. Why for learning anything new, we need old books instead of new ideas? Why make notes in class, when the brain is blank and ink in copy left no hammer on thinking? Why teachers ask us to learn by heart, while it is the mind that is required to do so.? Even Winston Churchill had a dig at his tea...
