Young girl was molested in Guwahati.Folks entertained themselves as if it was a circus with chained deer being pilloried and played off.
Was she wearing two pieces? Was she wandering naked? Even if she was who gave men right to molest an independent creature??
Sorry..Men are born with rights..They are born masters!!
To quote Paulo Coelho
“To a man it never really matters what women wears, because mentally he is undressing her.”
If this a psyche how attire is relevant when the subject is eve teasing or sexual assault?
When a child who is few days old is raped, can she be said to be provocative? She hardly possesses assets which men die for….
When old woman is raped, can we say she attired herself in obscene dress??She might have lost all her feminine traits of attracting or seducing male..
When sex is the common desire .for both male and female….then why we don’t see a woman whistling at a man who is in his underpants??
Why can’t men control their urge…it’s because it’s not urge but sickness. Sickness to conquer every vagina on the planet…
I t happen because our social conditioning is such. Since childhood boys rule the show..They are given guns to play with and girls are gifted dolls. Thus they remain dolls throughout their life.
Every time a girl moves out, she is reminded of “timings”. While for boys there is hardly a time limit.
When sister is scolded by parents, not to wear “so called obscene dress”., brother sitting raises eye-brows, ,then at very moment it is scripted in his mind-This dress is obscene”
When he sees other girls attired in same fashion, he shuns them off.!
Not only society, but “gatekeepers” of the society behave apathetically to this unfortunate crises..How often we hear inspector saying only girls are responsible for what happens to them..
The more things change, the more they remain same as the notion of "economic India story" ,women’s status narrates the tale of contrasts and contradictions.
It is shocking state in a country ,where female struggle to educate themselves, suffer malnutrition ,face dowry deaths, are in clutches of infanticide and foeticide. The vital issue that is in focus is “security”
An abstract issue, yet the most challenging.
Another case of abuse is incestuous abuse, where male family members assault girls in their house. now tell what is responsible dress or human psyche .how one justifies the act of rape by a father to her daughter?
We are a country, where we celebrate space odyssey of Sunita Williams. But back home we consider women an object for sex, entertainment and reproduction.
As monsoon failed to wet the farm fields so did the monsoon session. Where lack of political will, took toll on “Protection of women against sexual harassment at the workplace bill”.
Far- sighted visionaries claim. When mentality will change, things will. It’s been almost 7 decades to independence and mentality is as stationary as stars.
It’s the fear of law that can curb such inhuman tendencies.
Its crystal clear no matter what you wear, obscene eyes will catch you.
Only education can cure this syndrome, social conditioning should be gender –neutral. Tough laws like chemical castration should be made mandatory for ‘psycho predators.’
Boys at tender age ought to be taught to respect girls. So that when they become men they respect women.
For if social conditioning changes can outlook be far behind....
totally agree with it.
ReplyDeleteI always make them people understand that girls are not responsible in such kind of case.
thanks for giving fact example it will help me to argue them.
Ashamed on people: Why one side people worship the 9 girl on NAVRATRI like a God and the other side that people or people member do female foeticide….burn the girl for Dowry….rape the girl no matter how old she is…..no matter what is relation.
ReplyDeletewe have many God in female like SARSWATI…LAXMI…KALI…DURGA…and many more why people worship these Devis…one side they worship and other side do rape.
why we like to marry with girl but hate to born female baby.
think it….
men should change the thinking towards girls.
